Established in 1975 by John and June Carter, here at Carters Furniture & Bed City we are a family-run store that prides ourselves on our professional service and highly trained staff. John and June worked tirelessly to make Carters the well-known, trusted family-run store that it still is today.
Founded on strong values and built through years of hard work, Carters have spent decades earning the trust of our customers. Through changing styles, new generations and industry shifts, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to delivering beautiful furniture with personal service.
We’re proud to have been part of homes across Kidderminster and the wider community for 50 years offering a wide variety of furniture and beds, all beautifully displayed in our two showrooms.

We offer quality furniture from top brands such as Stressless, G Plan, La-Z-Boy and Ercol as well as many local suppliers. With over 30,000 sq. ft. of showroom, we have a vast selection of living room, dining room and bedroom furniture available for you to browse. Our recently renovated Stressless studio makes us the largest studio in the UK.
At Carters Bed City (second store) you will find the largest Harrison Spinks display in the country along with hundreds of other beds on display, including big brands such as Vi Spring, Hypnos, Sealy, Relyon, Sleepeezee, Health Beds, Silentnight and Kaymed to name but a few.
We have a specialist section for our electric adjustable beds, and chairs with many different models to try alongside fully qualified staff to demonstrate with you.
Due to our close business relationship with our suppliers we are able to source furniture made all around the world, as well as products which are manufactured locally.
Carters Furniture and Bed City are both open Monday to Saturday and have large free car parks on site for your convenience as well as customer friendly lifts at both stores.
